I'll admit I probably wouldn't have chosen to spend my Christmas holiday reading this book because of my current stress level and it did take a bit to get into the story.

John Gordon Sinclair has written a brilliant follow-up to Blood Whispers and has created a character in Keria Lynch that should be an establishment figure as a leading defence lawyer, but she is the complete antithesis to that.
